Mylo Kaye, who used to be homeless, now runs a tech company called Dreamr. He is set to launch his new venture Pledge in September with the goal to help others living in poverty. Pledge has been designed specifically for charities, helping them bridge the digital gap and allowing them access to cutting-edge technology to optimise their operations.
He said: "Charities are great at helping the causes they dedicate themselves towards, and without them, the world would not be the same place, but we’re on a non-stop path to becoming entirely digital, and charities face being a victim of ‘digitals’ success.
He adde: “Technology has always been a massive passion of mine, the past ten years it’s been wholly ingrained in everything I do. I love how technology has the power to inspire and enrich peoples lives."
Speaking about his current venture, he said: "Charity has always been something very important to me, I have supported numerous causes in Manchester over the years.
"Charities are vital to helping the city's poor, and I can testify to this with the help that I received from a local charity when I was homeless.
"With my personal insight I’m in a unique position to see both sides of the coin.
"Pledge will also support the great work that other charities are also doing in Greater Manchester by providing our digital expertise around fundraising, including new technology which enables contactless donations.”
