For the second time, a dog has won Britain’s Got Talent. Dancing Dog Matisse and trainer Jules O’ Dwyer took the top spot and won £250,000 cash prize.
The show’s finale attracted 13.4 million viewers on Sunday night, making it this year’s highest rating programme on TV so far.
"I can't believe that we've just won Britain's Got Talent," Jules told Newsbeat. "Super, amazing, amazing."
"[I've] not really had time to think about what we are going to do with the money. Obviously I'm going to get all my dogs lots of gifts and treats and toys and everything else.
"My daughter is begging me for a new phone. I'm pretty sure she's going to get her wish."
The pair competed against magician Jamie Raven and Welsh choir Glanaethwy in the final three.
The dog impressed Simon Cowell as he walked across a tightrope. Cowell described it as “one of the best dog acts we’ve ever seen.”
The top nine spots went to, in order from last to fourth: Boyband, Entity Allstars, U D I, The Neales, Jesse-Jane McParland, Danny Posthill, Calum Scott, Isaac Waddington and in fourth place, Old Men Grooving.
