There is no doubt that microwaves are one of the most useful inventions of recent years. Using radio waves, they make water molecules in food move so you can simply heat up your meal if you’re too tired to cook after a long day of work.
However, YouTuber Physics Girl said that there’s a possibility that your microwave is leaking radiation and that there’s a simple way to confirm this – by putting your mobile phone inside while the microwave is OFF. If you call your phone and it doesn’t ring while inside the appliance, it means that your microwave acts like a “Faraday cage” and doesn’t allow radiation to pass through.
If it does ring, then there must be a leak somewhere.
