Does Top Gear Need A Woman's Touch?

Jodie Kidd insists the show “NEEDS” a woman’s touch.

Is Jodie Kidd going to be part of Top Gear? The host of Channel 5’s Classic Car Show may have dropped the biggest hint she could fill the show’s “need” for a human touch. She admitted that she has always been a “massive fan” of the BBC motoring programme, which is looking for new presenters to join Chris Evans, but she hasn’t signed on the dotted line just yet.

 

Jodie told the Daily Star: "If I had a pound every time someone asked me about that show I think I would be a millionaire right now.

"I was a massive fan of Top Gear, but I have no news to share on the new programme."

 

"If someone told me I couldn't race or drive well because I was a woman, it would just make me more determined. It's a rush."

 

Meanwhile, Evans has confirmed that there will be a female presenter alongside him on the show.

He said: "I can confirm that. Definitely. 100 per cent."

 

He also said: "I want people who are extremely knowledgeable about cars, I want to have people who have great energy, people who have good timing, people who have warmth about them, people who are keen and eager to do things differently."
