Digital City Festival to host new fringe events between March 9th and 13th.

Digital City Festival, which celebrates business excellence and innovation in a number of sectors, has announced loads of exciting new fringe events taking place between March 9th and 13th, including the Digital City Awards, the Leaders’ Reception and the After Party.
Spearheaded by Digital City Expo, the week-long festival will welcome exhibiting companies including N Brown Group, boohoo and Mobica as well as speakers from Google, AO.com and BBC.
Fringe events that you can look forward to include the following:
Boss Women III
Scheduled on the 8th March at the Manchester Hall, this event celebrates International Women’s Day with canapes, mocktails and laughter. Attendees will hear from five speakers, namely Channel’s 4 secret teach Kate Stewart, celebrity make-up artist and academy owner Cassie Lomas, BBC’s Criminal Justice: Are We Tough Enough? Presenter Ayesha Nayyar, social media professional Angie Cropper and successful swimmer Jessica Calderbank.
BBC Tech Meetup
Tech enthusiasts are invited to attend the BBC Tech Meetup scheduled on 12th March at the BBC Quay House. It will be attended by industry heavyweights and BBC staff who will discuss all things tech.
Hidden Carers – How Can Technology Help
This event has been organised after a survey found that up to 81per cent of carers have felt lonely and socially isolated because of their job. One HealthTech will explore the many uses of technology to help them create a support group to alleviate some of their isolation and health inequalities.
