P Diddy claims that he was defending himself and his son during a football bust-up where he now stands accused of assault with deadly weapon. The hip-hop mogul has released a statement about the incident with his son Justin Combs’ college football coach Sal Alosi.
In a statement released by his reps to Mirror Celeb, his representative said: "The various accounts of the event and charges that are being reported are wholly inaccurate.
"What we can say now is that any actions taken by Mr. Combs were solely defensive in nature to protect himself and his son.
"We are confident that once the true facts are revealed, the case will be dismissed."
Previous reports said that Diddy lost it when coach Sal Alosi allegedly belittled Justin Combs infront of his whole UCLA team. It was alleged that the coach shouted: “I don’t care if your dad's here. This is UCLA. I'm going to treat you just like I treat everyone else."
Following the incident, Diddy was pictured being arrested for assault with a weight-lifting kettlebell. He as held at the University of California, Los Angeles’ Acosta Athletic Training Complex.
Reports confirmed that no one was seriously injured and that the UCLA police department continues to investigate.
