'Dexter' star Michael C. Hall has revealed that he is battling cancer.
The 38-year-old actor, who found initial TV fame playing David Fisher in 'Six Feet Under', has confirmed he is being treated for HodgkinÂ’s lymphoma but the disease is in remission.
In a statement, he said: "I feel fortunate to have been diagnosed with an imminently treatable and curable condition, and I thank my doctors and nurses for their expertise and care."
Hall received widespread critical acclaim and four back to back Golden Globe nominations for his work on 'Dexter' since 2007 up to 2010.
In the show, Hall plays Dexter Morgan, a Miami police analyst who moonlights as a serial killer targeting sociopaths.
The actor secretly married his co-star Jennifer Carpenter on New Year's Eve in 2008.
The fifth series of 'Dexter' goes into production later this year.
