American new wave band Devo have lost their guitarist, Bob Casale, at the age of 61. His brother and band mate Gerald Casale confirmed the sad news in a statement they have issued on Tuesday. Gerald said his younger brother’s death was sudden and a total shock.
"As an original member of Devo, Bob Casale was there in the trenches with me from the beginning," he said.
"He was my level-headed brother, a solid performer and talented audio engineer, always giving more than he got."

Devo started became famous in 1977 when they made a frenetic version of The Rolling Stones hit Satisfaction.
In 1978, they released their debut Album entitled Q:Are We Not Men? A:We are Devo. In 1980, the band reached platinum status with Freedom Of Choice, which featured their big hit Whip It.
Alan Myers, the group's drummer, died last year after a battle with cancer, aged 58.
Devo is short for devolution, the idea that man was regressing into an earlier state.
