DeVito backs 9/11 movie

Danny DeVito is set to produce a movie about the September 11th attacks.

Veteran actor Danny DeVito is being lined up to produce a film about the 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centre.

The movie tells the story from the point of view of two New York police officers, who were rescued from the Twin Towers.

Those already behind the project said that it wouldn't be a disaster movie as such - more a film about ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances.

Hollywood has been rumoured to be considering documenting 9/11 ever since the immediate aftermath of the atrocities.

The film has not yet been given a title.

Almost 3,000 people died in September 2001 when terrorists crashed hijacked planes into the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon.
