EastEnders babe Zoe Slater will leave behind a shell-shocked Dennis when she quits Albert Square - and reveals her baby was actually his dad's.

Actress Michelle Ryan is on her way out of the soap but not before her character spills the beans on her pregnancy and her sordid affair with Dirty Den - to Dennis' horror.

It is the perfect revenge for Zoe, who was left behind when Dennis, played by Nigel Harman, went after former lover Sharon Watts.

When he returns to the Queen Vic, Dennis is confronted with the hideous truth that his girlfriend had been sleeping with his father while they were going out.

Little does he know that the dirty secret led to Zoe's part in the murder of Dirty Den, played by Leslie Grantham.

"The revenge is designed to hurt Dennis and it does," a BBC insider told the Daily Star.

"He's distraught that the father who ignored him throughout his childhood and teen years was secretly sleeping with his young girlfriend when he was with her."

However, Zoe does not get off lightly in the tearful confession, which takes place just before she flees Walford to start a new life in Ibiza.

Mum Kat, played by Jessie Wallace, is devastated at the news - and suspects that there might be more to Zoe's secret than she has let on.
