Dirty Den is to live up to his name after he gets his son's girlfriend pregnant in a sensational new EastEnders storyline.

Den, played by Leslie Grantham, will be revealed as the father of Zoe Slater's unborn son after he seduces her into bed, the Sun newspaper reports.

Zoe is seeing Den's son Dennis (Nigel Harman) at the time, who bursts in on the pair before leaving in disgust.

After going for a test Zoe, played by Michelle Ryan, finds out she is pregnant and realises that the father has to be Den.

"Zoe has been pretending to be pregnant to keep hold of Dennis because she knows his feelings for her are waning," a BBC insider told the Sun.

"He loves the idea of being a dad but Zoe then has to pretend to have a miscarriage.

"But then she finds out she really is pregnant - and when she looks at the dates, she knows that Den is the father."

The new plotline harks back to Den's previous philandering with younger women and it is not the first time he has shared a conquest with his son - both ended up having affairs with Nail Bar boss Kate.
