Demand on .NET Developers
According to the Global Developer Population Report 2019, there are 18.9 Million active developers in the world.

Out of which 12.9 M are professional software developers. The percentage of growth in the number of developers worldwide in 2018 was found to be 21%. The report also predicts that the population of developers is going to be more than double by the next decade, that is 45 M.
Fragmenting the total number of developers in the world, developers who work for the development of web applications and mobile applications are 16.9 M and 13.1 M, respectively. Concerning the number of total developers worldwide, the report states that C# developers are consistently increasing in the demand.
Gender-Based
In comparison to men, women account for 12% of the developer population in the US, as presented by Stack Overflow Developer Survey Results 2019.
