Football ace David Beckham, aged 37, has made his mind up about his next footballing move as the former England captain has signed a five month contract with Paris Saint Germain.
The news of his move, which was confirmed at a press conference on Thursday where Beckham was presented by his new club’s owner, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, comes on transfer deadline day.
Mr. Al-Khelaifi said: "David refused a lot of offers from other clubs all over the world which makes it very special for us.
"He is a very professional player on the pitch and outside the pitch.
"I'm sure we're going to win a lot of things with David."
Reportedly the club had been eyeing the football star for some time before managing to secure a deal.
Training with Paris St Germain would be expected to commence within a matter of weeks, which would give Beckham a new start to 2013.
Beckham, who returned to the UK after finishing his contract with LA Galaxy late last year, has been in training with Arsène Wenger’s team, Arsenal Football Club.
Paris Saint Germain, who sit at the top of the Ligue 1 football table, and who are managed by Carlo Ancelotti, have spent at least €200million since they acquired new owners.
It is thought that Becks wanted another challenge ahead of his retirement from the sport, having played for Manchester United among many other clubs during his career. The UK's home-grown football-ace is also a former Real Madrid player.
