J.K Rowling has resurrected Harry Potter in her new story featuring the boy wizard as an adult.
When asked about the possibility if he would be willing to portray the character again on screen, 24-year-old star Daniel Radcliffe said that he has no plan of doing so.
Talking about J.K. Rowling’s new story which was published online, he said: “I haven’t read it yet, though I will. But my understanding is that it’s very short, not worthy of adaptation to film.”
He added that the reincarnated Harry is also “about 12 years older than I am now ... So it’s not something I’d have to worry about for a long time, hopefully.”
The actor continued saying that he consciously chose to play different roles since Harry Potter because he wanted to be versatile. However, he denied it was because he grew to dislike the character: “People may think that’s why,” he said. “But it was more that after playing the same character for such a long time, I’d look at actors like Ben Whishaw, who I admire, playing a variety of roles.
“So I thought I’d like to do it while the going is good.”
