Matt Damon has said he will stop making action movies.
The star of "The Bourne Identity" and "Saving Private Ryan" claims that action films fail to challenge his acting ability.
He also said that in future he will turn down blockbusters as they are over-reliant on plot and special effects.
Damon said the only reason he agreed to be a part of the sequel to "The Bourne Identity" was as the script had undergone heavy rewrites.
He said: "Most action films are too limiting in terms of what you can bring to the character.
"The thing that has always made acting interesting to me is the process of working with others and feeling you're creatively involved."
Of his latest project, "The Bourne Supremacy", he said: "Even though there are some great action scenes, they're subservient to the characters."
"The Bourne Supremacy" is due out in the UK on August 13th.
