Covid-19 Symptom App
Evergreen Life app allows users to generate Covid-19 symptom map.
03:39 30 March 2020
A health and wellness app created by Evergreen Life contributes to a live, publicly-available heat map of people with Covid-19 symptoms. It allows users, who are asked if they are self-isolating, to provide a national picture of the outbreak by reporting signs such as fever or a dry cough. Users are also asked if they were able to recover to enable further data analysis as the outbreak progresses.
The data gathered reveals the extent of the symptoms and helps authorities determine how the virus is moving around the UK so they will better understand human behaviour that could prove to be crucial in their response efforts.
Stephen Critchlow, founder of Evergreen Life said: “We believe that providing a clear picture will help people to make the best possible decisions – like understanding the importance of self-isolation and social distancing, and how to do it.
“Evergreen Life has been working tirelessly with the NHS as the virus has spread to develop services to help our app users, and the NHS, prepare and respond to the outbreak."
The app also allows users to access their NHS records, share them with other healthcare service providers, and even book GP appointments in person or by video.
