Former 'Friends' star Courteney Cox has agreed to star in a new TV drama.
The actress - best known for playing neurotic flatmate Monica Geller on the long-running sitcom - has signed up for new US show, 'Dirt'.
Spokesperson for the show, Nick Grad, told America's New York Post newspaper: "We are absolutely thrilled that Courteney has chosen this show for her return."
The brunette beauty, who has also starred in a host of Hollywood films, including the popular 'Scream' trilogy, will play tabloid editor Lucy Spiller in the programme.
Filming is due to start later this month and Courteney's husband, David Arquette, will be the executive producer on the series.
Last year, it was claimed Courteney and David were developing a new comedy about a private investigator.
The pair - who married in 1999 and have a baby daughter, Coco - were rumoured to be planning to team up with Jeremy Stevens, the writer and producer of hit US sitcom 'Everybody Loves Raymond', to create the new series.
It is now believed plans for the proposed project have been scrapped.
