Corrie star Tina OBrien fears her new storyline could destroy her relationship with co-star Ryan Thomas.

The real-life lovers will be thrown into an onscreen romance as their characters Sarah Louise and Jason rekindle the spark after their one-night stand.

Now Tina fears history could be repeated, since a romance with then boyfriend Bruno Langley, who plays Todd in the ITV soap, saw the actors splitting up off-screen.

The Daily Mirror reports that Tina has begged bosses not to pair her with Ryan.

"I think the thing with me and Bruno was all too much," Tina is quoted as telling a friend.

"Ryan and I dont want to go down the same route."

But Tina could be worrying too much: away from the Street, the loved-up pair, both only 21, have been house hunting.

Meanwhile on-screen, Fridays show will see Ryans character Jason have a wild night out clubbing - but with Violet, played by Jenny Platt.
