Tommy Harris goes mad when he finds a packet of condoms in his son Craig's pockets and beats him to a pulp.
The violent mechanic, played by Thomas Craig, takes the discovery as evidence that his 14-year-old son is planning to sleep with his underage girlfriend Rosie Webster.
Tommy is livid - particularly as the discovery comes just after he finds out that his teen daughter Katy is pregnant by male nurse Martin Platt.
He takes Craig, played by Richard Fleeshman, out into the street and gives him a vicious beating, the Daily Star reports.
But the fall-out from the attack is more than he could have imagined when he discovers that Rosie, played by Helen Flanagan, got the condoms from her mum Sally's handbag.
This raises all sorts of questions as to why happily-married Sally was carrying condoms into work.
Tommy will be the first to put two and two together and realise that Sally, played by Sally Whittaker, is having an affair with her boss, Ian.
"It will be hard for Sally to wriggle out of this one," a TV insider told the newspaper.
"She knows she must do her utmost to conceal the facts about where Rosie and Craig got the condoms from, or it will end her marriage."
