COPTRZ Praised for Drone Defenses

COPTRZ, a Leed-based firm ensures events are drone-free.

COPTRZ, a Leed-based firm that specialises in removing the threat of drones, has been praised by a Silverstone boss. The company was recently hired by the British F1 Grand Prix to ensure that drones weren’t near that site. The firm is fully equipped to locate and ground unauthorised drones.

 

“The number of drones taking to the skies is an increasing concern for large sporting events such as the Formula 1 2018 Rolex British Grand Prix here at Silverstone,” explained Lesley Cox, head of safety and security at Silverstone.

 

“Being able to detect drones in real-time is a really important aspect of event safety and security, and this solution enabled us to react efficiently and to dispatch response teams to the drone pilot’s location.
