Cool Tech For Pets
Bring your life into the 21st century with these great pet gadgets. They'll help you to give them the love and care they deserve.

It's a busy world out there and sometimes you might need just a little help to look after your four-legged friend the way they deserve to be looked after. In a time of tech and gadgets, you no longer need to rely on your neighbour or ask a parent to come around and look in on Fido or Sylvester. There's not just an app for that, there's a whole host of gadgets that you can deploy.
- Automatic Feeders
These have been around for a while, but they have got a lot more reliable and some can even be programmed from your phone. You add the kibble to the dispenser and then set the timer to release the right amount of food at a specific time. On days with unexpected delays, the ability to change the settings via your smartphone will really be a lifesaver. Some feeders even have the option to record your voice so that you can call your pet to eat even if you aren't there.
- Soothing Speakers
Music and the sounds of you talking to your animal are proven to keep them calm and at ease if you aren't actually around. With a pet-friendly speaker (read: robust and drool-proof), you can play the sounds that you know will keep your pet happy if you have to go out to work, or when you take them to the vet or the grooming parlour. This concept is also incredibly useful on noisy days such as Guy Fawkes, if you love watching sports loudly while enjoying the thrill of Australian betting, or if you live on the path of a big parade.
- Heated Beds
In the winter, we love our electric blankets in the winter so why not get one for your dog or cat? There are a few out there that are designed to take the edge off the cold and help them to stay extra cosy all through the day and night. Some use electricity much the same way an electric blanket does, while others make use of heat reflecting materials to bounce the animal's own body heat back at them.
- GPS Collars
Every pet owner's worst nightmare is the day their beloved friend goes missing. Collars are great because anyone who finds the animal can call you, but that means someone will have to catch or coerce a potentially scared animal to them. The same goes for a microchip with the pet and your details digitally linked to it. However, with a GPS collar, you will be able to go to your phone and see exactly where your animal is. It's much quicker and far less stressful for both you and your pet.
- Smart Toys
Your pets need stimulation, but sometimes you can't play with them the way they need or want. The good news is, there is a whole range of toys out there that will interact with your pet when you need to focus on work or have errands to run. These include balls that talk to your puppy, laser pointers that move around for your cat to chase, and puzzles for animals to work out.
