Cheryl Cole has pulled out of the interview on 'Friday Night with Jonathan Ross'.
The 26-year-old singer was due to appear on March 12 to promote her solo career, breaking the US and potential baby plans.
However, the booking was made before her split from husband Ashley Cole.
It had been rumoured that the 'Fight for this Love' star would instead talk about the breakdown of her marriage, but Cole has pulled out as she feels an interview so soon would be "tacky".
She may still perform her new single 'Parachute', which was set to be promoted during the show.
An insider reportedly told People magazine: "It is something that Jordan would do and Cheryl does not want to do anything which would remotely mirror that woman.
"When Jordan split with Peter Andre she was mouthing off about it left, right and centre and made herself look like an idiot. Cheryl cannot sit down and discuss the ins and outs of her marriage on telly in front of millions.
"Cheryl and her people are now considering her performing the song at the end of the show but there will be no interview."
