Cybersecurity firm Coalfire has confirmed the opening of its new EMEA headquarters at Manchester's City Tower next year to support its plans to double its existing headcount in the city by 2023.
The firm, which has global headquarters in Denver, has been looking into enhancing its presence in the UK and wider EMEA region in 2019 after it was acquired by London-based private equity house Apax Partners.
Andy Barratt, Coalfire’s managing director for UK & Europe, said: “Manchester’s digital strengths and international connectivity make it the perfect home for a growing, tech business – Covid-19 hasn’t changed that. This city has been our home for seven years now and we are most definitely here to stay.
“Businesses in the UK and across Europe are faced with massive instability and many can no longer stomach the financial implications of getting cybersecurity wrong. We’re focused on continuing to grow the number of businesses we help avoid those implications and Manchester is the ideal place for us to do that.”
Mr Barratt added: “The pandemic has undoubtedly changed people’s relationship with office working but I firmly believe that it will continue to play an important role. We want to offer our team the flexibility to work from home, but also a fantastic workspace where they can spend time with their colleagues and clients.
