George Clooney says no-one recognised him while filming latest movie 'Syriana' - because he was so fat.
The 'Ocean's 11' hunk had to put on weight and grow a beard to play CIA agent Bob Barnes, disguising him from his legions of fans.
He told Britain's Sunday Telegraph Seven magazine: "In the beginning it wasn't fun not being able to get tables at restaurants.
"But being overweight is horrible for blood pressure and my back is killing me."
Clooney suffered an excruciating brain injury while filming the Middle-Eastern drama in Dubai and Morocco.
The heartthrob actor received the freak injury while filming a torture scene which went wrong.
He revealed: "I was taped to a chair and getting beaten up and we did quite a few takes. The chair was kicked over and I hit my head.
"I tore my dura, which is the wrap around my spine which holds in spinal fluid. But it's not my back, it's my brain. I basically bruised my brain."
