Former BBC Radio 1 DJ Dave Lee Travis has appeared in court in connection with 13 counts of indecent assault and one sexual assault charges. During the trial, Chuckle Brothers Barry and Paul Elliott were called as witnesses.
The court heard 66-year-old Paul Elliot saying that he did not know about the alleged incident and that he was completely surprised with the charges. He added that Mr Travis had been “very professional” during the pantomime.
When asked if he recall any incident, he said: "No, sorry, I don't. As I say it was a complete surprise."
He added: “I think I would remember.”
"If it was something serious we probably would, but I don't remember anything like that at all."
Meanwhile, the alleged victim has previously told the court that her ordeal ended because one of the Chuckle Brothers walked past in a corridor.
Meanwhile, another eyewitness has testified in defence of Mr Travis. He said: "He was with his wife the whole time. I was watching what he was doing the whole time because he was an idol to me.
"It is utter nonsense or fantasy that anything like that happened."
