EastEnders murderess Chrissie Watts is to walk out on Albert Square.

Chrissie Watts is set to turn her back on Albert Square for good.

After talks with bosses at the Beeb, actress Tracy-Ann Oberman has decided to leave, setting up an explosive end to one of the show's most enthralling storylines.

The landlady of the Queen Vic has been putting on a brave face since pummelling cheating husband Dirty Den over the head and burying him in the cellar.

But Den still has a hold on his wife, even from beyond the grave, and when his body is discovered she knows her days are numbered.

"All hell breaks loose," a show insider promised The Sun.

Oberman apparently decided to leave in the hope that her high profile character will help her land more exciting TV roles.

EastEnders bosses are staying tight-lipped on whether Chrissie will be killed off, sent to jail or go on the run.
