Cheshire East Council Uses Tech to Give Cost Transparency

IT service shared by Cheshire West and Chester Council now uses Apptio Cost Transparency system.

Cheshire East Council has deployed the Apptio Cost Transparency system to gather accurate data of its IT costs, which could eventually be instrumental in decision making. 

 

The system, which has been implemented in the IT service shared with Cheshire West and Chester Council, provides a single dashboard showing technology costs, which are categorised and aligned with the services and value they deliver.  

 

The system will be used to determine which services are necessary as well as identify addressable spending. 

 

Gareth Pawlett, chief information officer at Cheshire East Council, said: "We have been working towards attaining fully burdened cost transparency of our IT services for quite some time. By implementing Apptio Cost Transparency, we were able to achieve this almost immediately."
