About three years after she was fired from the US version of The X Factor, Cheryl Cole is now ready to talk about what happened. She said that although show boss Simon Cowell was right to fire her during that time, she said: “he wasn't right not to tell me to my face."
The 31-year-old, who earlier this year won a payout from the show’s producers in the States, said that he can talk about it now because she’s feeling better about the whole incident. But she revealed that she sent Cowell expletive littered text that read: "F**k you, F**k Fox, F**k the orange and purple outfit. F**k the big hair. F**k the UK X Factor. F**k you all. I hate you."
She told Elle UK: "I became so desensitised, you could say terrible things to me and I wouldn't even think about it.
"I'd read awful stuff about myself and not blink. I shut down because I didn't know what else to do."
Cole was axed from the US talent show weeks into shooting the series and before it went to air. Cole stated that it only became apparent to her later that she was suffering some sort of breakdown.
