Singer Cheryl Cole has officially filed for divorce from husband Ashley.
Citing "unreasonable behaviour" for the split, the '3 Words' singer applied to the High Court in London on Tuesday May 25 to launch proceedings.
Contrary to speculation, the X Factor judge will not be asking for the couple's £6 million mansion in Surrey, as she hopes for a "clean break" ahead of the start of the World Cup.
She is also said to not want any of his money, wanting a "quickie divorce" to avoid distracting the England player.
A source told The Sun: "Cheryl made a swift decision to put England's World Cup dreams ahead of herself. The divorce should be finalised before England's first touch of the ball in South Africa on June 12.
"She wants a completely clean break with no malice or wrangling over property or money. Cheryl will not take one penny of Ashley's money."
The divorce action was formally lodged at 2pm on Tuesday at London's High Court.
Her management Supersonic PR confirmed the news on Twitter, writing the message: "We can confirm the divorce. We have no further comment."
Cheryl Cole split from husband Ashley in February after details emerged of the footballer's alleged affairs.
The couple who married in July 2006, and are said to have to each have a £10 million fortune, did not sign a prenuptial agreement.
An insider said Cheryl had "no spite" towards her husband and that the divorce will be "clean, swift and amicable".
