Emmerdale's Jimmy King is delighted to receive a card on Valentine's Day - until he realises it is a blackmail note demanding 150,000.
He goes pale when he sees the note is attached to a video of him having sex in a hotel bed with Charity Dingle, the Daily Star reports.
And scheming Charity, played by Emma Atkins, warns that if Jimmy doesn't pay up, his wife Sadie will find out about his cheating.
A furious Jimmy, played by Nick Miles, storms around to Charity's house and ransacks the place trying to find the master copy of the incriminating videotape.
But when Charity finds out what he's done, she just coolly ups the blackmail price to 200,000.
Jimmy has no choice but to clear out his bank account to pay her, but it isn't nearly enough.
He finds himself in even more trouble when Sadie, played by Patsy Kensit, spots the money is gone and smells a rat.
"Charity gives Jimmy a Valentine's Day to remember when she presents him with an unexpected and particularly costly present," an insider told the newspaper.
"He's furious to discover he's been set up and knows he can never meet her huge cash demands."
