CCTV Upgrade for Crowthorne
Crowthorne to curb rising anti-social behaviour rate with state-of-the-art CCTV equipment and ANRC.
14:03 11 April 2022
Crawthorne's local authority is set to install state-of-the-art CCTV equipment and ANRC throughout the area as response to the significant spike in anti-social behaviour incidents in recent months.
The move follows the local authority's successful bid for £5,000 funding from the Police and Crime commissioner's community fund. The new funding will be used to complete upgrades to CCTV coverage and the commissioning of a video entry phone system for the parish office.
Melanie Saville, Crowthorne parish council clerk said: “We feel very fortunate to have been awarded even part of the community fund that has been spread all throughout the Thames Valley area.”
“The local PSCOs have been invaluable in helping us to identify perpetrators and to work on community based measures to right the wrongs by meeting with the youths and their families, resulting in letters of apology, informal fines and, we hope, diversionary measures to steer youths onto a more positive pathway.
