England captain David Beckham will appear in a new Adidas advert with cartoon super sleuth, Scooby-Doo.

Becks is one of the biggest stars to have signed up to market Adidas products and has already appeared in a number of ads alongside the likes of Roberto Carlos and Raul.

In this latest campaign a cartoon Scooby and the gang unmask a nasty-looking ghoul to reveal the shaven-headed Real Madrid star.

Beckham apparently provided his own voiceover for the advert and revealed that Brooklyn and Romeo are big fans of the heroic hound.

"I liked the idea that I would feature in a legendary cartoon that my kids watch," Beckham said.

The new advert will appear on cable and satellite TV from today.
