Bubl gets hitched

Canadian singer Michael Boubl has married his girlfriend Luisana Lopilato, in the first of three planned weddings, it has been announced.

The 35-year-old Grammy-winner wed actress Lopilato, 23, in a civil ceremony in Buenos Aires on 31 March.

The couple are planning two more weddings so both of their families can attend.

They will have a full ceremony with 300 guests, held at a mansion outside Buenos Aires in April, followed by another wedding in Vancouver in the same month.

Michael has also revealed that he will not be singing on any of his big days, saying that his now wife asked him not to sing at the wedding.

He told Ross King on Daybreak in December last year:

"I asked my fiance if she wanted me to sing and she said no.

"She said, 'I want Ricardo Montaner'. So now Ive got Ricardo Montaner coming!"

The pair have decided not to embark on a lavish honey moon, instead opting to travel to Africa to do some charity work for children's causes.

Louisa met Michael after one of his concerts in Buenos Aires in November 2008.

The two got engaged while on a trip to Argentina a year later.
