Broadband Outage Across the UK

Broadband outage across the UK left Virgin Media, BT and Sky subscribers with limited internet access.

Virgin Media, BT and Sky subscribers have been reporting limited internet service from around 7am on Monday, November 18. Many claim that they are struggling to access Google, email and social media. 

 

 

 

Sky has confirmed that they are aware of the issue after 70per cent of their customers reported problems with their service on the website Is The Service Down? UK. 

 

 

 

BT, on the other hand, said that they are unable to determine the problem. 

 

 

 

A BT spokesperson said: “We’ve checked our network and there were no broadband outages affecting BT customers this morning.

 

 

 

“We also haven’t received any increase in social media traffic or call centre activity from customers reporting any problems. If BT customers experience any problems affecting their phone or internet services we would encourage them to report this to us as soon as possible.”
