Brittany Murphy has reportedly got engaged to boyfriend Joseph Macaluso.

The stunning actress has been sporting a dazzling 3-4 carat Tiffany diamond ring after allegedly becoming betrothed over Christmas.

The smitten couple - who met in 2004 when Macaluso was a production assistant on the star's movie 'Little Black Book' - have yet to set a date for their nuptials.

Last year, the brunette beauty - who previously dated 'Punk'd' star Ashton Kutcher - revealed she didn't lose her virginity until she was 21.

The actress, now 28, also credited her mother for encouraging her to go on dates.

She said she was a very shy teenager and didn't meet boys until her mum forced her to leave the family home and find a social life.

She said at the time: "I started going out with boys at 19, and lost my virginity at 21.

"The only reason I went on a date was because my mother insisted. She told me, 'Please go out at night, you need to improve the way you relate to people'."
