A date has been set for the premiere of Britney Spears' new reality television show.
The as yet untitled show will start with an hour-long special broadcast on US station UPN on May 17th.
The programme will follow the singer's short courtship, marriage and pregnancy with husband Kevin Federline, mainly through home videos. According to a network statement, the filming of new footage for the programme has already begun.
UPN president Dawn Ostroff said in a statement: "As we all know, Britney and Kevin's life together has been played out in front of the public through internet speculation, the gossip columnists and entertainment magazines.
"Now, for the first time, their millions of fans will get to see and hear the couple's real story as told directly by them."
Britney, 23, has just announced that she is pregnant with the couple's first child. Federline already has two children with his former girlfriend, Shar Jackson.
"The time has finally come to share our wonderful news that we are expecting our first child together," Britney said.
"There are reports that I was in the hospital this weekend, and Kevin and I just want everyone to know that all is well. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers."
The pop star's publicist has announced that the child is a girl. When asked how Britney was after a miscarriage scare, Leslie Sloan said, "She's OK. Mother and daughter are doing fine."
