Britney Spears has been forced to slash the price of her UK concert tickets after low sales, it has been reported.
The troubled singer will kick off the UK leg of her Femme Fatale tour in London this week, but has had to cut the price of her tickets after failing to sell out.
According to The Sun, promoters have been forced to lower the price of Britney tickets from £55 to £30 for her date at the Birmingham LG Arena.
Failing to sell out just three UK dates is a blow to Britney who a few years ago sold out a country-wide arena tour.
Organisers are are said to be concerned after initial ticket sales show that barely half the 16,000-capacity venue will be full when the 29-year-old takes to the stage in early November.
In some venues promoters have been forced to offer a buy one get one free offer on tickets in an effort to fill the arena.
In Sheffield the offer has been branded a Bonfire Night Offer, as Spears plays the Motorpoint Arena on 5 November.
However, organisers have defended the move, claiming that the reduced prices were really "segmented marketing to reach new consumers".
Britney SpearsÂ’ controversial new single, Criminal, will be released in the UK on 21 November.
