British tourist stabbed to death in Malia
18 British nationals were arrested; a 19-year-old is suspected of delivering the final blow.

Greek police have confirmed the death of a 19-year-old British tourist in Malia, following a pre-dawn brawl, which involved about 30 British nationals. 18 British nationals were arrested.
A 19-year-old man, who is suspected of delivering the final blow, was detained. Police added that they were searching for 12 other Britons as of time of writing.
The victim reportedly died on the way to the hospital after he was stabbed in the chest. Sky news reported that he was identified as Tyrell Matthews-Burton from Leyton in east London.
A Foreign and Commonwealth Office spokesman said: “We can confirm the death of a British national in Malia, Greece, on 23 July. We stand ready to provide consular assistance to the family.”
He added: “We are aware of the arrests of a number of British nationals in Malia, Crete, on 23 July. We are in touch with the local authorities and stand ready to provide consular assistance.”
Malia is one of the top destinations for young Britons who enjoy the Crete island night life.
