Bra to boost assets when you want it most
10:50 19 May 2009
Every woman knows the confidence-boosting impact of a good bra on their figure and overall self esteem. However, finding that perfect fit can prove frustrating.
A new "smart" bra that remembers the woman's shape may be the answer and there's a rewarding side-effect too when wearers get a little hot under the collar.
Hidden in the bra's cups are heat-sensitive memory foam pads, which shape themself perfectly around the lady's curves.
As a woman becomes sexually aroused, the bra squeezes breasts together giving cleavage a boost when it matters most.
The Smart Memory Bra, by Slovenian lingerie firm Lisca, returns to normal when body temperature falls.
Designers came up with the idea when they were researching lingerie that would change shape according to weather conditions to ensure women always had perfectly fitting underwear.
Lisca designer Suzana Gorisek said: "When cold the material feels a bit rigid and hard, but the touch of your skin makes it soft and comfortably pleasant.
"As a woman's body changes, so does the size of the bra. That's the advantage of this bra."
Those taking a trip need not worry about cramming it into their suitcase either, as its makers claim the cups will not lose their shape or become damaged when crushed.
The smart bra, which uses foam originally developed for the NASA space programme, is planned to have a revamp for the UK market and is expected to be available to Brits in the summer.
