A new vocational qualification in bra-fitting is being offered to school leavers, the Daily Star reports.

The specialist course involves 30 hours of training and exams before students can walk away with a BTEC in Lingerie Fitting.

The course is the brainchild of Debenhams head of development Michelle Wallace.

She came up with the idea after seeing how many women do not know how to buy the right bra and how many staff are unable to help them.

"We want our staff to have a more rounded knowledge," she told the newspaper.

"Bra-fitting is a very serious and specialist area. It takes a special sort of skill and is nothing to snigger about."
