Orlando Bloom says he has "left the door open" for a reconciliation with Kate Bosworth.

The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star hopes the couple can get back together at some point when they aren't so busy.

Bloom - whose break-up from Kate happened in January - said: "We're on very good terms. We are very close. We both know we have a lot of time apart with work coming up and we thought we would leave the door open."

Meanwhile, the heartthrob star says he is looking forward to eventually settling down and becoming a father.

The 28-year-old actor, who has previously dated Hollywood babe Christina Ricci and Jude Law's girlfriend, Sienna Miller, has revealed he can't wait to become a parent - but still has some growing up to do first.

He told Britain's Elle magazine: "I'm going to have bundles of children. I feel like I'll make a really good dad, but I've just turned 28 and I've got to get some stuff out of my system before I can think about it."
