Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have married, just one month after they confirmed their engagement.

The linerie model, 27, and the British 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor, 33, are now on their honeymoon, Kerr says in a statement. The statement also explains the cancelation of her appearance at the Australian department store David Jones.

It read: "David Jones very graciously released me during this period so we could celebrate an intimate ceremony and honeymoon together.

"IÂ’m very much a part of the David Jones Family and I am very committed to my role. I am enormously grateful to David Jones to have been given this time to enjoy such a special moment in my life."

The showbiz couple reportedly started dating in late 2007. She explained the genesis of their relationship to Hello! magazine in September 2008: "We were friends for a while and then it just developed into a little more.

"At the time I was seeing someone else," she explained, revealing that Bloom asked her agent for her number after she refused to give it out.

Last year, when the two spent Thanksgiving together in Morocco, Bloom told reporters he and Kerr were "just enjoying our time together now" when asked if they planned to wed anytime soon.

Last week, Kerr was by Bloom's side as the Canterbury-born actor received an honorary degree from the University of Kent.
