It is a case of hair today, gone tomorrow, when Coronation Streets Janice Battersby feels the effects of a disastrous makeover.

Janice, played by actress Vicky Entwistle, will unwittingly have her hair shaved off when her mission to get a new look goes wrong, The Mirror reports.

Weatherfields mouthiest factory worker, who is not known for her sense of style, is horrified to wake up in the Streets hair salon with a shaved head after dosing off, the paper adds.

It is claimed that Janices run in with the clippers comes after gay factory worker Sean Tully persuades the Corrie character to inject some glamour into her life and get rid of her frumpy haircut.

Viewers will reportedly see Janices new look in August, but those watching filming of the soap in Manchester have already caught a glimpse of her bald barnet.

"There were some members of the public watching the filming and they couldn't believe it," an unnamed Street source told The Mirror.
