Baby Prince George, the new third in line to the throne, is turning one. The boy, who is just learning how to walk and who will one day become the king, has been credited with winning new support for the Royal Family from some who have previously held a negative view of the monarchy.
As new photographs of him with his parents have emerged, it was revealed that 24per cent of Britons say that they now have positive view of the Royal Family because of him.
The survey also revealed that there is now just 2per cent of people saying they are more negative towards the Royals.
The survey, which was participated in by 1,025 adults, suggests that some 2.1 million people who previously had a negative image of the royals now claim to have a positive one because of the baby prince.
Dustin Dryden, chief executive of aviation company Hangar8, which commissioned the survey, said: "Our research shows that he has had a very positive impact on the majority of people, and certainly enhanced the strong reputation of the Royal Family even further.”
