Ant McPartlin has been assaulted at the Old Station House in Chiswick, London where he tried to enjoy his meal with his mother, Christine and an aunt.
According to reports, the 38-year-old Saturday Night Takeaway co-host was put in a headlock outside the pub by a gang of thugs in an unprovoked attack.
Allegedly, the gang banged the window and used their phones to film the family. It was then that the I’m A Celebrity host went outside to ask them to stop.
However, he was grabbed by the head and was knocked down to the ground. His 58-year-old mother, who also went outside to help him, was thrown to the pavement before the gang ran away.
A witness told The Sun: ‘The youths were banging on the window, filming them and generally being a pain — and they just wouldn’t let it lie.
‘Ant was completely reasonable and said, “Leave it out, lads, I’m just having a quiet meal.”
‘But it immediately turned really nasty and one of them jumped on him and put him in a head-lock.’
