Andrew Garfield, who prefers using scooters, drives a car and had an accident on Spiderman 2's first shooting day

Andrew Garfield admitted that he loves to use scooters as a mode of transportation.

 

The Spiderman actor said that he felt more secure using two-wheeled vehicles instead of regular cars.

 

However, he was banned by the studio behind Spiderman when he got the role. He was told to ditch the scooter and rent a car while filming the movie.

 

However, Andrew got into car accident on the first shooting day. He told Ellen de Generes: "I feel safer (on a scooter)... When I got Spiderman, the studio said;

 

'You can't ride a scooter anymore. It's dangerous...'

so they hired me a car and I got in an accident on the first day."

He added: "I got rear-ended into the middle of a big... intersection. I was stopped and someone (hit me)."
