Alesha Dixon announces birth of a baby girl

Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon has announced via Twitter that she gave birth to daughter Azura Sienna last week.

Alesha Dixon has announced on Twitter that she had given birth to daughter Azura Sienna last week.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge, who recently celebrated her 35th birthday, wrote: "Thank you for all of your lovely birthday messages! I've had the best present in the world...” Another one quickly followed this tweet: "My baby girl Azura Sienna was born last week!!! I'm elated and over the moon :) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"

She added: "It seems quick because I was hiding it for so long!!! I was in my 6 month of pregnancy at the Britain's Got Talent final! :) xxx"

The 35-year-old singer announced that she was expecting her first child with dancer Azuka Ononye only in June.

The couple had known each other since 2006 when the singer was part of the girl group Mis-Teeq. Their friendship blossomed into a romantic relationship in 2010 following the promotion of her album The Entertainer.
