Young Ones star Ade Edmondson is the latest celebrity to sign up for a special edition of Fame Academy for Comic Relief.
The actor, who played violent punk Vyvyan in the hit show, has already cleared his lungs once for the charity, screeching his way through Cliff Richard's Living Doll in 1986.
Now Ade, who also starred in the warped comedy series Bottom with Rik Mayall, will have the help of academy boss Richard Park to try and resemble something close a pop singer.
"Producers are delighted Ade is interested in performing in Celebrity Fame Academy, even though he can't really sing," an insider told The Sun.
"They think he'll liven up things up."
The 47-year-old, who is married to comic Jennifer Saunders, will join EastEnders actress Kim Medcalf, Radio 1 DJ Edith Bowman and comedian Jenny Eclair in the talent show.
Impressionist John Culshaw, comic Al Murray, DIY SOS host Nick Knowles and Top of the Pops presenter Reggie Yates will also take part.
The show will be screened every night from February 26th and the winner will be revealed on Red Nose Day on March 11th.
