Kate Winslet has given birth to her third child; a healthy 9lb baby boy on Saturday.
Her rep confirmed that both the 38-year-old actress and her newborn are doing great after the birth at a Sussex hospital. The rep added that the new mother and her husband, Ned Rocknroll were “thrilled to bits.”
The newborn will join Kate’s other children; Mia, 13 and Joe, nine from her first two marriages. However, this is Ned’s first child.
Winslet kept her last name on her marriage and has previously told US Magazine: 'I was never going to change my name to Rocknroll. I've never changed my name to anything so I didn’t see a reason to start now.'
Although there is no confirmation as to which surname the newborn son will take, her spokeswoman has referred to him as “baby boy Winslet.”
Kate also talked about her pregnancy on People Magazine where she said: 'I feel completely great. Being a parent turns you inside out.
'It completely transforms your life and, of course, your children are your absolute everything.'
