The Youngest Winner of the World Series of Poker

 

The youngest person to win the World Series of Poker was Joe Cada. At the age of 21 years plus 357 days, the young man took the major prize for the 2009 main event of the World Series of Poker, based on information from the Guinness World Records. In the last game, he defeated two other players named Jeff Shulman and Phil Ivey, and through the event, he became very popular in the world of poker and was even featured in the Detroit News in 2018. At the moment, he still plays poker, and his Twitter handle is @cada99.

 

The Longest Poker Marathon (Individual)

 

For individual players, the longest ever poker marathon based on information from the Guinness World Records lasted for up to 115 hours. This took place in June 2010, and the game was live streamed and watched by up to 170,000 fans. The player that achieved the amazing feat of winning the tournament was Phil Leak, and incidentally, he is the husband to the actress and poker player named Jennifer Tilly. The longest poker tournament involving a group lasted for days. This epic tournament happened between December 13 and 15, 2013. The venue of the tournament was in the Philippines, and the event was the Manila Iron Man Poker Challenge Asian Poker Tour and Resorts. The first prize was won by Damon Shulenberger and he currently runs a website where he writes fiction when he has the time.

The person with this record is Antonio Esfandiari. He set the record when he landed $18.3 million in prize money. History was made in 2012 in Las Vegas. This was when he bagged the world record for the biggest prize money ever won in a poker tournament. During the tournament, he defeated 47 of the best professional poker players and wealthiest amateurs in an event called the ‘Big One For One Drop’. This gave him the biggest prize payout for any competition.
